Calling All Intercessors in Northern Ireland
Calling All Intercessors in Northern Ireland
This is a companion article to build upon the previous blog post on Intercession: Precursor to Revival. This was sent to the pastors of the churches in Northern Ireland. Prayerfully, it will inspire the pastors and Chrstians in Americaa as well.
“Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you” (Isaiah 64:1)!
Dear Brethren in Northern Ireland,
The Lord richly bless you! I pray this communication finds you well and pressing on to the high call and prize of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I just returned back home from my second trip to your blessed land. In God’s providence, it is clear our family and ministry has been divinely connected by our Lord to your nation. In light of this Kingdom reality, the local pastors and leaders thought it prudent to follow up with a charge to the saints in Northern Ireland.
They see a great need to call the church in Northern Ireland to the battle station of intercession. The Kingdom purpose is to organize a nationwide concerted prayer effort for the next 7 months leading up to the new King of England’s coronation scheduled for May of next year.
We need the churches to mobilize their intercessors to prepare the way of the Lord to send a heaven-sent revival that will reform the church and restore righteousness and justice in the gates of your land. The powers of darkness are at work to establish tyranny, abortion, sodomy, and the transgendered chaos that threatens the future and hope of your people. We pray God arise and forbid this in Jesus’ mighty name!
One of the elements concerning the prayer targets contained in “The Lord’s Prayer” is the cry of the saints to God to deliver the church from evil (Matthew 6:13). The significance of this cry cannot be underrated. In Psalms 106, God’s Word declares:
They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons, and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood…Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people, So that He abhorred His own inheritance. And He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, and those who hated them ruled over them…Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, When He heard their cry; and for their sake He remembered His covenant, and relented according to the multitude of His mercies.
John Calvin stated, “When God wants to judge a nation, He gives them wicked rulers.” Isaiah warned that when a nation’s sayings and doings are against the Lord, he turns them over to weak, inept, wicked rulers culminating with Isaiah 3:12, “As for My people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.”
This judgement is clearly manifesting in Western civilization as feminism and all its subsequent evils, breakdown of the God ordained family, abortion, sodomy, sexual confusion, and a host of other evils are savaging souls made in the image of God. We need another “Great Awakening” to realize the Lord is judging this abhorrent form of Christianity that has enabled these evils instead of overcoming them as God commands (Romans 12:21).
The church is called to be about our Father’s business. We need to join our Lord in destroying the works of the Devil (lies and murder), be salt and light, fulfill the Great Commission, and set the captives free.
In redemptive history and in the history of Northern Ireland, when men and nations were plunged into pagan darkness, that was the divine signal for the church to obey 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
On my first visit to your blessed nation, the pastors loaded me up with many books highlighting the significance of the 1859 Revival that dramatically impacted Northern Ireland. Clearly, its powerful visitation has left its divine mark upon your land to this day. As with most revivals, it began with a concerted prayer effort that sought to fulfill, “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:6, 7).
On my journeys throughout Northern Ireland, I was taken to the very home in Kells, where the faithful intercessors gathered together to pray that God would rend the heavens, come down, and pour out His Holy Spirit. They cried out for the living waters to flow from heaven to heal their dry and parched land. God eventually answered those prayers and showed up in the power and manifestation of His Holy Spirit. It lasted for several months and over 100,000 souls were birthed into the Kingdom and added to God’s church. Bless His Holy Name!
We believe it is our turn now to seek the Lord. It is time to turn from our wicked ways, pray for a heaven sent revival that would cleanse the land of evil, advance God’s Kingdom in Northern Ireland, and reveal His great salvation to men and nations.
It would be good to spread this call to churches, intercessory groups, family, and friends. The divine purpose is to prepare Northern Ireland for a national day of fasting, confession and repentance in the month of May. This will take place immediately following the coronation of King Charles III (More on that later).
We can start now with an official zoom meeting call so the saints can pray under the supervision of pastors once a week. Besides that prayer effort, it would be good for each church to call for a prayer meeting as well, at least, once a week in keeping with this vision and mission. National repentance and taking ownership for personal, family, church, and national sins and abominations is a must in these tumultuous times, when evil has become good and evil is being codified into lawless tyranny.
We believe if the church answers this call, God will intervene like He has done before throughout redemptive history. Thus the battle cry is “summon your power O God and show us Your strength as you have done before” (Psalms 68:28). This is the charge brethren. I pray you will answer the call to enter this season of intercession that will culminate in a national day of fasting, confession and repentance in the month of May.
God willing, I’ll be there to join in this much needed move of God’s Spirit to deliver Northern Ireland from evil and make things right in the sight of God on the behalf of Northern Ireland in Jesus’ matchless name!
IN KING JESUS’ SERVICE,
