National press statement concerning the I Stand with the 10 campaign:

On Tuesday, January 16th, in the year of our Lord, 2024, ten gentle Christians will appear before a Federal Court to stand trial. They are being charge with a felony based upon the draconian F.A.C.E., Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances, so-called "law."

This tyrannical law takes a misdemeanor charge, trespass, and applies federal penalties. They are facing over 10 years in a federal prison if found guilty.

What was their crime? They trespassed for dear life. They were performing our government's duty, which our government betrayed by "legalizing" the murder of the preborn. Civil government's sacred trust before Almighty God is to restrain evil, protect life, and stop the shedding of innocent blood.

Our Founding Father's bequeathed us a nation based upon this Biblical mandate. Thomas Jefferson our third president declared, "The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good government."

He was so convinced of this truth; he enshrined it in our Declaration of Independence, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

These gentle Christians were practicing the historic doctrine of interposition. Our nation was partially founded upon this doctrine and was used through the years to correct wrongs and end injustices like slavery and racial discrimination.

This doctrine teaches when an oppressor arises to harm a victim; it is the obligation of a third party to stand in the gap to protect the victim from harm. This is the reason why they are being treated as criminals and suffering prosecution.

In American jurisprudence, our nation once understood the "necessity defense." If someone walks by a fence with a sign that reads "No Trespass" and that person notices a toddler falling into the pool and is drowning, a higher law demands that person break the lower law to save the life of that child.

This was the motive concerning their actions on behalf of babies in the womb who are made in the image of God. These gentle Christians need to be commended and not condemned for loving their neighbor as themselves and fulfilling the Golden Rule.
