American Reformation Church Prayer Journal 13
ARC Prayer Meeting
For the past several weeks, Pastor Derin A Stidd and I have tagged team to put together a series of messages on covenants as it relates to our church plant. This series is leading to signing of a church covenant with God and our congregation at the American Reformation Church very soon.
This past Sunday, Pastor Derin prompted by the Holy Spirit changed his message along those lines and decided to minister on the covenant of marriage. It was one of the best messages our folks ever heard on Ephesians chapter five. It was outstanding. You can watch it at our YouTube channel at

Due to other special days approaching, we will be postponing this covenant series to concentrate on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, Palm Sunday, March 24th, and Resurrection Sunday, March 31st. Afterwards, we will continue the series till we sign our church covenant.
In preparation for ministering on the life and legacy of Saint Patrick this coming Sunday, it is fitting to present his famous prayer as our church gathers for our weekly prayer meeting this coming Wednesday.
Patrick prayed, “Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ where I lie, Christ where I sit, Christ where I arise, Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of every one who speaks to me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me. Salvation is of the Lord. Salvation is of the Christ. May your salvation, Lord, be ever with us.”
It appears Patrick sought the same love, devotion, and imitation of Christ as the Apostle Paul. Philippians 3:7-11 reveals, “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”
For these two, Paul and Patrick, Christ was not just a part of their lives, an appendage to help fulfill the American Dream. No, Christ was their life (Colossians 3:4).
Remember brethren, Christ in us is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).
