ARC Prayer Meeting
The Psalmist prayed in Psalm 25:4, 5, “Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.”
Not sure of all the circumstances and situations facing the Psalmist that inspired this prayer, but I think we can assume he believed He was floundering, wandering, needing direction, and desired an assurance of God’s salvation in this fleeting life.
Doubt, worry and fear are an unholy trinity that can plague the minds of men, women, and children. Even committed Christians at times do not escape the battle between their ears. The Apostle Paul very much aware of this warfare in the mind declared, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:4, 5).
The Psalmist was determined to wait of the Lord and pray. Let us be determined to do the same.
