ARC Prayer Meeting

This past week American Reformation Church conducted our last service at The Grove. It was a bitter/sweet time in the Lord. A lot of fond memories flooded our souls as we have rejoiced in the provision of our God to establish and grow our church plant for the last year and a half at Promise Lane. Special thanks to Frank and Lisa Campana who opened their home and hearts to honor the Lord and care for His people.

Due to the growing pains experienced as a church, both numerically and spiritually, it became apparent we needed to find another place to serve God’s purposes in this area. We searched and finally the door opened to meet at a special ministry place called Nana’s House. We are literally moving from our former address, which is Promise Lane to our new address, 3492 God’s Way, Melbourne, FL 32904.

Our first act as a church moving into a new location is to hold a consecration service. This Sunday we will worship the Lord and consecrate the church and this new location to our Lord, His Gospel, His Kingdom, and great salvation in all the earth.

It will be time of praise, proclamation, and prayer as we devote ourselves afresh and anew to the vision and mission of the American Reformation Church.

Here is a good example of a prayer of consecration.

Lord, this day I consecrate myself afresh to You. I set apart my hands, my eyes, my thoughts, my words, emotions, and my actions to You not just today, but on a daily basis. I offer them to You as “instruments of righteousness”. Sanctify all of these, that they may be “living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God”.

Father, I offer up, consecrate, and surrender to You all my pain, hurt, anger, hatred, sin, fear, bitterness, resentment, sorrow, and unforgiveness – all of the defiling, desecrating, and unrighteous acts done by me and done to me.

Lord, my righteous goal is to be holy and be made whole. Heal me and deliver me. Heal my body and my mind. Set me free from shame and guilt, fear and anxiety, depression and despair.

Jesus, today I seek to bind my heart to Your heart, to bind my mind to Your mind and my will to Your will. Lord, I trust you receive this prayer by faith and what you have begun in me; I know You are well able to finish it in the Holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord!

Tomorrow night, we will not just meet for prayer and potluck, but to also bless Sterling and Sophia’s upcoming marriage this Saturday. We have 200 sets of dishware to wash for the meal at the wedding. Come ready to pray, fellowship, eat, and roll up your sleeves to work.
