My Dad’s Salvation

Welcome to this episode where I share a true story near and dear to my heart.

It is the story of how God saved my acholic, smoking, gambling, cursing, womanizing, pagan father.

My father was the poster child for “The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life."

He was an intense, hardcore ex-marine atheist. Living in the house with a man who tolerated no weakness and who held a lot of rage inside of him, I feared him more than I feared the gangs on the streets of Bridgeport. It was my incentive to survive and overcome.

In this episode I share his story. What it was like being his child and the opposition I received from him when I myself was saved.

Yet just like God never gives up on us, we should never give up on others. God can redeem the unredeemable. He loves the unlovable. He can forgive the unforgivable. He can save my dad and thank God, He did!

This story is to be an encouragement to any of you who have loved ones who are lost, hurting, or held captive by sin.

Don’t give up on them. Keep praying, keep interceding and keep living a life of love and truth for Jesus Himself intercedes on our behalf.
